Mimi was hardly older than a pup herself when she was found, pregnant, on the streets. Mimi had nobody to care for her, or her unborn puppies, but she never gave up hope. She sought out the kindest of humans who happened to pass by and she begged to be saved. Mimi devoted her heart to her puppies and even two surrogate orphans, but it turns out this big heart doesn't always work well (and neither does her bum). :( Mimi has genetically deformed anal sacs which require curative surgery but, shockingly, Mimi's heart stopped under anaesthesia. Heart medication was administered to bring her back to life and the surgery was aborted. A cardiologist has diagnosed 'sick sinus syndrome', a rare congenital heart condition. So now this sweet girl needs her surgery in a specialist hospital with cardiology equipment and experts at hand. This will cost around £4.000, please help us fund it. Thank you x

These four orphan puppies (named Aria, Kobe, Zara and Zelda) are on ‘death row’ in a Romanian public shelter, desperately waiting to be rescued before it is too late. Most Romanian public shelters (also known as death camps) are harsh, overcrowded environments where dogs are at constant risk of attack, starvation, disease and brutal extermination.
Give a Dog a Home UK have foster homes lined up and ready for these sweet puppies, as well as their adult sheltermate, another lone Romanian orphaned pup, Ben, and several other adult dogs, including Johnnie Walker, from Greece. All we need now is help to raise enough money to cover their vaccinations, passports and transportation to UK foster care. These vulnerable dogs are so affectionate and keen to find their forever families.
Once in our foster homes across Sussex, Surrey and Kent, the dogs will be given the care they need and will be assessed and then put up for adoption. Please donate anything you can to help us rescue as many dogs as possible this summer. Every pound makes the world of difference for these desperate pups. Thank you from all at Give a Dog a Home and all the dogs who will be saved.
