Ben
Ben is a gorgeous middle-aged boy who unfortunately suffers from severe Leishmaniasis, affecting his skin, immune system and internal organs. This condition is usually easily (and cheaply) managed but, due to rare complications, Ben is unable to take this low cost medication. Due to the severity of his case, his only option is a very expensive treatment. Ben was fortunate enough to meet a very lovely and caring fosterer who is caring for him long-term. We need to support his fosterer with Ben's specialist care and ensure Give a Dog a Home cover the cost of Ben's treatment for the rest of his life. Ben loves his fosterer with all his heart and is so grateful for his life in a caring home.
Aida
Aida is a beautiful girl and so loving to those she knows and trusts, but finds it very hard to welcome strange people and dogs that cross her path, both at home and out and about. Aida was living with one of our very dedicated fosterers, but we have decided to use foster rehabilitation now to help her overcome her severe fear and anxieties so that she can one day find a loving home of her own. She is a very intelligent girl, quick to learn and a real sweetie once she gets to know you, but needs specialist help to allow her to feel comfortable enough to show her truly amazing nature.
Give a Dog a Home raise money throughout the year for general costs such as flea tablets, worming, vaccinations, operations and food, but every penny donated in our sponsorship project will be dedicated especially to one of our three special sponsorship dogs.
As one of our Suppawters, you will have the chance to become more involved in the work we do and will receive updates on our three special buddies via our Facebook page and Blog.
