Vacancies
As Give a Dog a Home grows, we are looking to take on several new roles. These 'vacancies' are all jobs, but voluntary and unpaid. They can be undertaken at various times in addition to normal working hours but all need commitment and consistency. Please contact Lynne Spencer in the first instance via the email contact form if you are interested in undertaking any role and we will give you further information. Training will be given and someone will always be available for help or guidance. Being such a small team of dedicated volunteers, we are always grateful for any help we receive.
Fosterers
Long or short term fosterers for adult dogs or puppies.
Experienced dog owners may enjoy the many pleasures of fostering a rescue dog from a European shelter, while they wait for a forever home. Friendship and trust grow very quickly between foster dogs and their fosterers and it is a mutually rewarding and enjoyable experience! Fosterers are vital members of the team who provide dogs with a safe environment and caring guidance as they acclimatise to life in a home.
We are always looking for more fosterers and would love to hear from you about becoming part of our fostering team. Please fill in an application form and we will contact you to discuss your application further and to arrange a home-check. (please note: the application form is our standard one for adoption so simply enter 'fostering' instead of a dog's name).
If you would like to hear some stories written by our fosterers, please view our Fostering Stories page.
