Unlucky's story is gathering pace in our 4th installment of 'Diary of a Street Dog' (written & illustrated by Hannah Walker Art). Unlucky might not understand the relevance of neutering but it will singularly have the biggest impact on dog overpopulation and, in the long run, dramatically reduce the public shelter death toll as overall numbers decrease. There are some specific C-N-R (Catch, Neuter/Spay and Return) programs being carried out by various animal charities abroad which are very deserving of support (One such program is @Adapostul de caini din Baia Mare).

Here is the 2nd in our 'Diary of a Street Dog' series by our new Facebook contributor Hannah. Whilst there are real dogs experiencing these atrocities, the often graphic pictures can be too much for many. We hope our fictional story of street dog 'Unlucky' helps raise awareness and offers a way to engage more people into the discussion and action (be that petitioning, donating, sponsor/foster/adoption of a Romanian dog).
We hope you enjoy the first installment of 'Diary of a Street Dog', a contribution by our Facebook team's newest member, Hannah. Hannah is a very talented artist and writer - responsible for the fab info-graphic on our website - and adopted Andy (from Elpida). Welcome to the team Hannah!
Look out for the next installment when we will find out if 'Unlucky' manages to evade the evil dog catchers... |
