Woody

Born: 2021/22
Sex: Male
Size: 18kg
Neutered: Yes

Woody the Setter, probably a failed hunting dog, turned up at an olive farm in Sicily one night in a very bad storm . He was probably desperately seeking help as he was skeletal and had probably survived on his wits for some time.
Woody just wants cuddles and affection but is playful and lively, being young. We do not know what happened to poor mum but she probably stayed with her breeder to make more hunting dogs . Woody does chase prey and should not be homed with cats. He does retrieve , with a soft mouth. Can walk on the lead and is able to be recalled ( but would need time to settle in first and renew his training ). A rural home would be desirable for Woody as he lives in a garage area at present.

Friends of Give a Dog a Home have rescued Woody and are currently fostering him, and we have offered to help in finding him his home for life.
