Please allow me to introduce myself - my name is Lily. I am 2 years old and, as you can see from my photos, I am a very pretty Pekinese X (OK, I admit it, my modesty knows no bounds!)
I ended up at PAWS Dog Shelter when my mistress sadly passed away. I didn't settle well because of all the noise around me, so Matthew, the manager, took me home. I stayed there for quite a while but have now had to come back to PAWS due to his prior commitments. People who have met me say that I have a lovely nature but don't have much confidence and so I take a while to get used to things and people that are new. Once I have decided I can trust something I am a good girl. I am OK with cats and other dogs but I would much prefer to be the only dog in the household because I can't help getting attached to a human and become their shadow and because of that I can get a bit grumpy if another dog tries to come between us.
My real downfall is that I am good at jumping. A 6ft wall is no obstacle to a girl with my athletic capabilities, so if you would like to adopt me you will need a very secure outside area for me. On the plus side, I am house trained and I walk well on the lead.
All our dogs come fully vaccinated, health checked, and microchipped with rescue back up from PAWS.
