Albus is (we believe) Marley's slightly younger brother. Mum was found on the streets by a man who collected strays (he accumulated up to 25 over time). She was obviously not spayed and the males in the group were not neutered and nature took its course. The man did his best for the dogs, but took on far more than he could cope with. Eventually a local animal welfare group begged for help to rehome the dogs. PAWS had some space and so took seven of them. Whilst in the man’s ‘care’, Albus knew nothing more than living in the house and yard of his bungalow in what can only be described as dire conditions. Everything was new to Albus but with patience and understanding he has adjusted as far as is possible in a shelter environment. He now needs training to learn how to behave in a home environment. Albus is intelligent, loving, cheerful, playful, sociable and people-oriented. He would do well in an active but calm home possibly with older children who are of a size to handle him. Don’t be fooled by his size – he is agile and active and will become more so as he loses some of the extra weight he carries.
Albus is in Devon at Euphoria Dog Rescue and Rehoming Centre (a private enterprise) and can be seen there. PAWS is handling the Adoption Applications and homechecks.
Albus travelled with all vaccinations, microchip and passport. All have tested negative for Brucellosis.
