Chester
1 Dog at a Time

Country of Origin: Romania
Born: 03/02/2024
Sex: Male
Size: Large 28-30kg
Neutered: Yes

As our vet, Denisa left her apartment she was welcomed by a little pup called Amos. He was scared and alone. Denisa called to him and he run straight to her. She picked him up in her arms and drove him to her clinic. Once at the clinic he was checked over and put with little Annie who was found the day before in roughly the same place.
A few days before, whilst Denisa was leaving home she noticed an adult female dog watching her. She called to her but she wouldn’t come so she left food and went to work. We found out that a message for help went out on Facebook saying that a puppy had been seen first with his mum then all alone, the lady who put out the message was going to work and couldn’t help. The picture she took is of little Amos and the adult the same female Denisa saw a few days ago watching her.
Mum (Jessie) and the three other siblings were found and bought to Happy’s and Chester was one of these siblings! So brave of Jessie to put herself out there and find help for her puppies
Thankfully because of the love of his mum, Chester came over to the UK and stayed in the foster home for a year but has now unfortunately had to be move back into kennels through no fault of his own.
Now In Kennels in the UK, his best friend is a female dog who is submissive but playful. His confidence, when with her, has really bloomed. It took the staff at the kennels 3-4 days before Chester would let his guard down. Chester needs a quiet calm rural home with a friendly calm female friend to play with. Chester doesn’t like jumpy, large, confident dogs that overwhelm and scare him. He can be re homed with cats but no children
Chester is neutered and BC negative. He is a large scared boy who is still learning how to fit in. Any potential adopter will need to be prepared to travel and meet him several times from kennels.
What Chester really needs is a very special someone with a safe home, where he can come around in his own time, with no fuss and no expectations. No one to crowd him and someone that lets him take the time he needs to learn to trust and feel safe. Someone who isn’t wanting to push him to do anything he’s not ready to do and ideally someone who has guardian breed experience. In the right hands Chester will thrive but we must find the right person/persons for him
Chester walks well on a lead and loves his walks. Once he knows and trusts you Chester actively seeks and wants affection

Chester travelled with all vaccinations, microchip and passport.
